
Our concept
MOLA started in 2018 as a small restaurant in Portixol. In a cozy setting, first-class food was served with matching wines, and completed with our personalized service.
After a successful start, we expanded in 2020 and are since located in front of the beach in Can Pastilla. Then as now, MOLA is a place that inspires your senses. MOLA stands for fine cuisine with an excellent selection of wines, served in relaxed atmosphere. Our service team ensures with attention and charm that our guests feel relaxed and at home.
The restaurant is managed and lead by our head chef and business associate Patric Gernsbeck.

Patric Gernsbeck
As son of two innkeepers Patric Gernsbeck was basically born into the gastronomy. He completed his training in the Hotel Barreis in Germany, which laid the foundation for his career. However, like any good chef, Patric was looking for new challenges and opportunities to develop…
So he decided to to leave Germany and presented his creations in various high-quality restaurants across Europe, including the chic St. Regis Mardavall in Mallorca, before working as a private chef for a well-known business family for three years. During this time, not only his technical cooking know-how was demanded, but also his creative abilities and his diversity in the kitchen. The numerous trips on which he accompanied his customers led to international and exotic inspirations that particularly shape his cuisine. Today he spoils his guests at MOLA with his spectacular food creations.
We’d like to say (and our regulars agree) that Patric is one of the best in Mallorca. Come and see for yourself!

We are happy to give a 5-star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ here, because all in all it was a great stay. Personally, I would not recommend the tables in front of the kitchen, as both the volume and the smell could be a bit annoying.

Mola in the hype. For me one of the best restaurants on the Beach.
The location of the restaurant is right on the playa near Balenaria 13. Outside you can sit on comfortable lounge chairs with a direct view of the sea.
The restaurant itself is a bit lower, but is flooded with light thanks to its window fronts, which can be opened completely.
The Mola is very stylish and you feel right at home when you enter the restaurant.
Service: The service is excellent. You are received and taken to your table. The service is extremely courteous and very friendly.
Kitchen: Patrick the chef conjures up wonderful dishes. I think it’s very good that changing menus are offered.
The Mola is an Asia fusion restaurant which is reflected in the menu. The dishes are not only pleasing to the eye, but also an absolute delight for the palate.
There is always the right wine to go with it. These wines are also very well selected wines that harmonize perfectly with the dishes. The advice given by the service regarding the wines is also perfect.
Not to forget the cocktails. Just enjoy the day with a delicious cocktail.
Conclusion: My favorite restaurant, which I like to visit again and again. Thanks to the entire team!!!!!!!!

Luca was our server and he was amazing! He gave us all excellent recommendations including a wine pairing recommendation for our meal. We had a bottle of the merlot blanc which was so unique we loved it. Our favorite meals were the gyoza with chicken, butternut squash, and shiitake mushrooms; the tempura prawns ; and the bluefin tuna tartare. The vibe was bright and they had awesome music too. Not too loud… still could hear each other talk which is always nice haha. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Mallorca!
